Beaudesert Car Park

Beaudesert Car Park has room for up to 40 cars and gives access to the southern part of Cannock Chase Forest. Castle Ring (the highest point of Cannock Chase) is a moderate, one mile walk from the car park. Cannock Chase is home to large populations of nocturnal animals, therefore we ask that you enjoy the forest during daylight hours only and allow the wildlife to recuperate without disturbance.

Beaudesert Car Park is in Cannock Forest.
Located close to Hazleslade village and Wandon cross roads the car park is located on the Rugeley Road.

Could consideration be made into reducing the speed limit on Startley Lane / Stile Cop Road. This is a particularly dangerous stretch of road and people are abusing what should be a sensible speed and endangering both wildlife and other road users.

Beaudesert Old Park once belonged to the Marquis of Anglesey and echos of this history can be felt in this area of the forest today. There are no waymarked routes in this quieter part of the forest, allowing the visitor to explore the forest tracks themselves.
