A variety of fish can be caught here including, Roach, Bream, Tench, Carp, Pike, Pearch, Eels and Rudd.
The fishing season runs from 16th June to the 14th March.
A Forestry Commission fishing permit is required along with an Environment Agency rod license for fishing at Hatchet Pond or Little Hatchet.
Forestry Commission fishing permits are available as Day, Weekly or Season tickets.Day and Weekly tickets are available from the following outlets:
- The Queens House, Lyndhurst ( Forestry Commission office, Mon-Fri 9am - 3pm)
- Roundhill Campsite, Brockenhurst
- Tightlines Angling Centre, Totton
- East Boldre Post Office, East Boldre

To purchase your season ticket you can either :
Pay in Person at our office in Lyndhurst (SO43 7NH) during office hours which are Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm. You can pay by credit/debit card, cash or cheque.
Phone: Please call us on 023 8028 6840 during office hours to pay by debit or credit card over the phone. Your season ticket will be posted out to you.
When purchasing your season ticket please have your EA Rod License to hand.
