The Kings Forest
 

Kings picnic site is in the heart of Kings Forest, on the outskirts of Thetford Forest Park. There are no waymarked walks but it is an ideal place to stop off and have a picnic in a wonderful woodland setting.

    A guide map showing 26 trails around the forest is available for £2 from High Lodge Forest Centre or from the Forest Office at Santon Downham (Office hours only).

How to get there:

The Kings Forest is in Thetford Forest Park. Bury St Edmunds is the nearest town or village.

From Brandon, take the B1106 towards Bury St Edmunds. , Go straight over the cross roads at Elvedon., Kings picnic site is approximately one mile along this road on the left hand side.
