Swaffham Picnic Site
 

This picnic site near Swaffham gives a good opportunity for quiet woodland walks as well as off road cycling. Narford Wood, planted in 1878 now has many mature oaks providing good opportunities to observe woodland birds. Please note that this picnic site, carpark and waymarked walk will be closed from 1st April 2008. The freehold areas of the surrounding forest remain open for people on foot, cycle and horse. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

How to get there:

Swaffham Picnic Site is in Thetford Forest Park. Swaffham is the nearest town or village.

Swaffham picnic site can be accessed via Swaffham on the A47 Swaffham to Kings Lynn road., Turn left off the roundabout on the A47 ( just past the Little Chef restaurant ) onto the A1122 Swaffham to Downham Market road., Follow this road for approximately one mile. The picnic site entrance is on the left hand side. Look out for green signs " picnic site 500m ". The picnic site is a little way along the track, further into the forest.
