About Cookworthy Forest

Cookworthy Forest is an impressive conifer plantation in the gentle hills of West Devon, between Okehampton and Bude.

South West Forest are based here, at the Cookworthy Forest Centre. Their reconstruction of a traditional roundhouse is a favourite with local school groups. The forest is also popular with orienteering groups and a permanent orienteering course opened in 2007.

The Celtic roundhouse is available for groups to hire. Contact Glyn Bradbury (details below right) to book.

How to get there:

Halwill Junction and Holsworthy are the nearest towns or villages.
