Bignall's Wood
Named after the family which used to farm this area of land Bignall's Wood is now a brand new 26 hectare community woodland within The National Forest. Planted in 2005, with the help of local people, school children, through the Woodland Trust Tree For All Scheme, and the site sponsors Alliance and Leicester it forms the final part of a larger block of woodland with Jaguar Lount and Alistair's Wood. Pedominantly planted with native oak, ash and birch species some ornamental maples have also been included to provide a fantastic visual experience for visitors all year round.

Bignall's Wood is part of The National Forest. Lount is the nearest town or village.
By road Bignall's Wood can be found off the B587 following signs to the Ferrer's Centre.
