Cardinham Woods are looking lovely in the sun today. Fingers crossed the weather is the same for the annual St Meubred■s Endurance Ride next Sunday 22 April when the Forestry has kindly allowed us to use the Woods again. Participants will be riding up to 50 miles and the proceeds enable us to make significant donations to St Meubred■s Church, Millpool Chapel and the Cornwall Air Ambulance. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but we hope other users will enjoy seeing the horses and riders.

My family spent Easter with us ,we went to Cardinham Woods ,had a great day out. We found what looked like a shed snake skin , very dark markings , quite small . Any ideas what it might be ? please .

Glad you had a good time visiting over Easter. Our wildlife experts think that it was probably an adders skin that you found!

Hello, my name is Charlie Carey, I would like to tell you about my visit on Thursday evening. So we looked at the map and decided to go on the Green Trail. The signage was so poor...we went up one path and came to a dead end. There are no signs to say this is not a trail etc. So we found the green path and set off. Basically we got lost. The signs are soooo bad. We walked along a path and it went to rough tracks with branches on the way and very uneven ground as if a tractor had just gone through and then an abbrupt stop? We had to go off the beaten track to get back on a trail again..which was very dangerous. I thought I would let you know because it really ruined my experience there. Please could you contact me as something needs to be done I think.

Thanks for your message. We have been out and checked the trail and all the signage seems to be in place. Your feedback will be passed on to our recreation ranger.
