Glentress Forest
 

Glentress is the top visitor attraction in the Scottish Borders, with approximately 50 miles of mountain bike trails including a freeride park packed full of advanced level features and a skills loop for those new to mountain biking who want to improve their skills.

There are also 25 miles of walking trails, an orienteering course and a series of brass rubbings to find and collect.
If you like outdoor pursuits then you'll love Glentress Forest.

To help maintain the extensive recreational facilities please pay the parking charge where requested.

Take the A72 east from Peebles for approximately one and a half miles. The entrance is on the left. Please follow signs for 7stanes, Osprey, Red Squirrel and Buzzard Nest Car Parks.

What's of interest

The Tweed Valley Forest Park lies in the main woodland corridor between Peebles and Selkirk and boasts some fabulous visitor attractions.

The Forest Park is within two hours travelling time from many of the major towns and cities north and south of the border - perfect for day visits.

Future development of the Forest Park will focus on stimulating local businesses and creating opportunities for local people to get involved in and enjoy their forests.
