1 Star 1 Star

We went to the grand opening of the Gruffalo trail today! It was pathetic!!!! There is NO Gruffalo to find, no other creatures or aspects related to the book to see - you follow a picture of a Gruffalo round the park (not even any woods!) and look at logs with 'activities' on. Terrible Laughable! And the ■2 fee for a folded up poster is ridiculous!

Thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the Jeskyns Gruffalo Trail. The free trails which are at many Forestry Commission sites across the country are designed to be self-led with activities for children to complete at each of the 10 panels, learning about the forest as they go. Jeskyns is a newly planted woodland, not yet a "deep dark wood" and so the activities do require a little more interpretation here than many other Forestry Commission forests, but we hope that you did at least enjoy the free craft activites provided that day by our volunteers. Thank you again for your feedback.

Forestry Commission Response

I've not been to jeskyns for a while but have heard you have to Pay now, could you tell me how much it is please?

Laura, 2/Apr/2014

Car park charges are not in force yet - they are due to be introduced this summer. Charges are yet to be confirmed, but we will ensure that we are competitively priced to neighbouring green spaces.
