JOOLS HOLLAND ANNOUNCES SUMMER CONCERT
Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, featuring Gilson Lavis and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall, has announced a 2008 Summer concert at The National Arboretum, Westonbirt. If previous shows are anything to go by, tickets will sell out weeks in advance.
Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have become established as one of the most prolific touring acts in the UK, creating their own unique big band sound playing a mix of boogie-woogie, swing, jazz and R&B. They now play an average of 100 live shows a year, touring Britain and the world to audiences in excess of 500,000. This autumn has been a particularly busy time for the music maestro with the publication of his autobiography, 'Barefaced Lies and Boogie-Woogie Boasts' and top 10 chart success with his latest album 'Best of Friends'.
Marketing and Communications Manager Kellie Lovett said: “Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra has a huge army of fans and their support contributes enormously to the maintenance and development of this historic tree garden for future generations to enjoy.”
Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will be performing at The National Arboretum, Westonbirt, near Tetbury, Glos, on Friday 18th July 2008.
