Combine a trip to pick up your perfect Christmas tree with a beautiful winter walk with the family at Blairadam Forest, near Kelty.

Forestry Commission Scotland’s Christmas Tree Sales Centre is open every day until Tuesday 23rd December from 9am – 4pm, where a team of experts – wardens, rangers and foresters – are on hand to offer advice on trees to fit all sizes of living rooms with hints and tips on how to care for it indoors.

Andrew Clark, Community, Recreation & Tourism Manager: Fife & Clackmannanshire, Forestry Commission Scotland, said:

“We’ve had a fantastic opening week of Christmas tree sales.  It’s great to see kids having fun in the forest and enjoying the Christmas experience at Blairadam.  It’s not just about picking your tree, but combining it with a great family day out by going for a winter walk in one of the scenic forest trails.

“We’re seeing a lot of mums and dads who would come to Blairadam to pick their tree as children, now bringing their own children.  So it’s lovely hearing their stories and seeing families creating their own Christmas traditions at Blairadam Forest.”

Tree stands, firewood, kindling are also on sale, as well as festive wreaths from local charities Scottish Autism and Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).

Blairadam Forest is near Kelty in Fife. Take Junction 4 from the M90 and travel west along the B914. Take the second entrance on the right-hand side and follow the road through the wood for over half a mile to the car Park. Postcode for Sat Nav: KY4 0JQ.
