Live open-air theatre returns to Bedgebury National Pinetum this summer on Tuesday 17th August. This time, top London touring company Quantum Theatre will be staging two performances of Charles Dickens' family classic Great Expectations in Bedgebury's picturesque Walled Garden.
Philip Barnes, Bedgebury Events Manager, said:
"After the success of Alice Through the Looking Glass last year, we are delighted to be hosting Great Expectations - another of the great children's classics.
"It's a show that all ages can enjoy and promises to be a highlight of the summer holidays. Everyone can bring rugs or fold-up chairs and settle down to watch a fun show in a magical setting."
Shows start at 11am and 3pm and run for one and a half hours, with a 20 minute interval. Refreshments are available, or bring a picnic. Special picnic boxes can be pre-booked on 07739 564691. Easy parking close by.
Tickets priced at £7 for children and £12 for adults are on sale through the Forestry Commission Box Office on 01842 814612 or from Bedgebury Visitor Centre.
