OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL 'BETWEEN TWO WORLDS'
Would-be adventurers are being given a 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity to purchase tickets for a journey that will take them 'Between Two Worlds'.
'Between Two Worlds' is the name Forestry Commission Scotland has given its flagship arts spectacular that will transform a magical forest wonderland into the Highland's 'must see and experience' event for a just over a fortnight in November.
The chance to travel 'Between Two Worlds' will take place nightly between 2-18 November (inclusive) in Glenmore Forest Park, near Aviemore. Explorers will be taken on a night-time forest journey into a hidden world that will captivate their imagination. Light and sound will reveal the mystery and beauty of the historic Glenmore Forest and provide everyone with an opportunity to experience the Caledonian Pinewood in a completely different light.
The breathtaking show is being hosted by Forestry Commission Scotland as part of 'touchwood' - the Commission's programme of events celebrating Scotland's Year of Highland Culture. The experience involving art, music and light is being created by sculptor and environmental artist, Diane Maclean and light artist Malcolm Innes.
Tickets for this amazing event will go on sale on 6 July and can be purchased online by visiting www.thebooth.co.uk. Tickets are priced as follows: Premium £14, Adult £12, Concession £10.50, Child (under 16) £8 and Family £30. Children under 5 years - no charge. (Premium tickets include a souvenir CD of the enchanting, bespoke music especially written for Between Two Worlds by Highland-based composer Bob Pegg.)
Kenny Murray, touchwood Project coordinator, said;
"This thrilling arts event is one not to be missed. In November, Glenmore Forest Park will be transformed nightly into a mystical and magical world where myths and legends will be brought to life. It's an ambitious addition to the Commission's touchwood programme and one that we hope will delight young and old alike, families or individuals. The event will also appeal to corporate event organisers looking for an entertainment opportunity for business groups.
"We've already had a lot of interest in the event via our pre-register online facility - to avoid disappointment I would recommend booking early."

2) Diane Maclean is an internationally acclaimed sculptor and environmental artist. She has sculptures in many public collections in Scotland, England, Wales, Canada and Finland. Her work has also been displayed as far afield as Japan. Ideas for her work are drawn from nature and developed using industrial materials and technologies. Many of her ideas stem from the way wind and water shape the landscape, how light reveals form and causes reflections, how sound creates atmosphere. Diane's Scottish roots have inspired many of her projects and work. Further information about Diane Maclean and her inspirational work can be found at www.dianemaclean.co.uk.
2) Edinburgh based Malcolm Innes boasts an extensive portfolio and experience of light art and design projects in the UK, Europe and Middle East. He draws on his wealth of knowledge to inspire creative solutions working with light as the medium to reveal form and texture, to convey colour and pattern and to subconsciously evoke moods and emotions.
