Doves' forest concert date announced
Doves have announced a special trip to the woods this summer when they will be appearing at Delamere Forest, Cheshire, as part of the Forestry Commission’s annual series of concerts in spectacular woodland locations around the country.
This will be a special home show for the band whose long-awaited 4th album ‘Kingdom of Rust’, recorded at their Cheshire studio, is released on 6th April.
This follows on from the band’s critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Lost Souls’ (2000) and their subsequent No 1 albums ‘The Last Broadcast’ (2002) and ‘Some Cities’ (2005).
The Forestry Commission is committed to taking woodlands to new audiences and making them relevant to people in new ways. The concerts are self-sustaining, paying for themselves, and providing valuable revenue to plough back into the woodland in a variety of environmental and social projects.
Doves, plus guests, will be performing at:
Delamere Forest, Delamere, Cheshire on Saturday 13th June.
Tickets cost £27.50 (subject to booking fee) and are available from 9am on Friday 27th February from the Forestry Commission Box Office, tel 01842 814612 or online from www.forestry.gov.uk/music or over the counter from the venue.
