WILDLIFE IN THE FRAME IN CHAMBERS FARM WOOD
Nature lovers are being invited to pick up their cameras and enjoy a close encounter with plants and wildlife on Saturday 26 July.
The Forestry Commission is staging a photography workshop in Chambers Farm Wood, near Wragby, Lincolnshire, to shed light on the art of taking pictures of birds, butterflies, flowers and insects, under the expert guidance of Peter Foster, from Horncastle. All you need to bring along is a camera with a close-up setting and a tripod, if you have one, and you could soon be achieving images that will grace the mantelpiece for years to come!
Ranger Mary Porter said:
“Photography is a great way of seeing the natural world in a whole new light, making bugs look like monsters and picking out the delicate structure of petals and leaves. We’ll be showing the tricks of the trade and enjoying a wonderful couple of hours in the forest.”
The event runs between 10am and 12 noon and costs £10 per person. Booking is essential on 01526 399943. It meets at the Chambers Farm Wood Centre off the B1202 Wragby to Bardney road. To find out more about the region’s woods log-on to www.forestry.gov.uk/eastmidlands
