Dragons and trolls will be lurking in Dalby Forest as nature lovers take a walk on the really wild side!
The Forestry Commission is hosting a magical trek on Sunday 13 July through the 8,600-acre (3440-hectare) beauty spot, near Pickering, to explore the myths and legends of the wood.
Fantastic creatures will come alive through the puppets and storytelling of Fiona Angwin and Daniel Jeffrey of the acclaimed Ramshackle Theatre Company. Katie Thorn, Recreation Manager, said:
“There are loads of legends about strange forest beasts and this is a walk to stir the imagination.”
Walks set out at 11am and 2pm from Dalby Forest Visitor Centre. Booking is required on 01751 472771, or at Dalby Forest Visitor Centre. The cost is £5 adults and £3.50 children. Children must be accompanied by adults. Wear suitable footwear and waterproofs.
