Improvements to visitor car park at Pen Pych, Blaencwm
A car park at a popular Forestry Commission Wales site in the Rhonnda has been upgraded to provide a better welcome to visitors.
The uneven surface and pot-holes have been repaired at the car park at Pen Pych, Blaencwm and both the car-park and access road have been tarmaced.
Pen Pych is a popular site for local people and visitors. The car park provides access to several walks and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It is an ideal base for visiting the surrounding waterfalls and the summit of Pen Pych.
Karl Charlton, Forestry Commission Wales Area Manager, said, "People use Pen Pych car park as the starting point for many recreational purposes Improvements to visitor car park at Pen Pych, Blaencwm such as rambling, dog walking, horse riding and picnics.
"The recent repairs have considerably improved access to the site from the public highway and have given the car park a much cleaner surface."
