BEDGEBURY BEATS THE RECESSION WITH HALF-PRICE WEDNESDAYS
In these stressful times we all need a haven of peace and beauty to relax and get away from it all. The National Pinetum at Bedgebury in Kent's beautiful High Weald is the perfect place for fresh air, exercise and burning off the Christmas calories amongst the world's most spectacular collection of conifers.
As a recession-busting bonus, Bedgebury (managed by the Forestry Commission) is offering a Half Price Wednesday offer from the beginning of January till the end of March (excluding February half term), with an admission price per car of only £3.50, plus discounts on cycle hire and refreshments.
Visitors can come and walk the mapped Winter Trail, which gives a fascinating insight into this internationally important tree collection, and then have a hot drink and a bite to eat in the comfort of the newly expanded Bedgebury Pineatery. Anyone who fills in a feedback form will be entered into a prize draw for a pair of concert tickets to see Katherine Jenkins at Bedgebury on Sunday 7th June.
