The Forestry Commission has been creating woodland and greenspace on contaminated and brownfield land for over forty years. We have developed a diverse site portfolio and have the ability to tackle adverse conditions on a broad range of former land uses. Our regeneration projects are co-ordinated by either local district offices or in specialised project teams, often with close collaboration with other local stakeholders. This results in a true community greenspace that has been achieved in consultation with local people and interest groups.
