We are looking for people with the potential to become our future leaders. If you have a 2:1 degree or higher, it could be for you. The duties of this post require the applicant to have a full current driving licence that enables them to drive in the UK. However, the Forestry Commission is willing to consider any proposals put forward by applicants that would allow them to do the job by other means.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic Disclosure check in line with the cabinet office Baseline Security Standard.
This is a permanent appointment starting with a two year programme that will give you varied, stimulating and challenging work. Some of this will be in an operational forestry environment where you will need to quickly learn a wide range of basic forestry terms and skills.
You will also have some shorter placements or secondments that will help to broaden and develop your understanding of the business.
At the end of your 2 years you will be expected to apply for a post that compliments your achievements – and which could be the start of a career that you had never considered before.
Starting Salary £24,020
