What was the event?

A CPD accredited 1-day workshop that explored the different opportunities for unlocking the potential of previously used land and highlight the different funding mechanisms for the various options. The event drew on findings of several major European projects including 'Greenland' and 'Hombre' to demonstrate good practice through case studies.

Dr Kieron Doick (FR) presented on the ‘Benefits of “green design” in urban planning’ highlighting to local authority staff, housing developers, and contractors and consultants in the land regeneration realm the importance of having green areas and green-infrastructure to maximise the social, environmental and economic benefits of land regeneration.
