8 October 2013 - Aberfoyle
What was the event?
This workshop focussed on the key climate change threats facing Scotland’s forests, and explore how we can manage our forests to adapt to these threats. We heard experiences of managing forests for climate change from forest managers at Queen Elizabeth Forest Park.
There was an opportunity to consider current barriers to change, and explore what could be done to enable the forest sector to adapt through discussion and Q&A sessions
This was the first site in ‘Scotland’s Climate Ready Forest Network’ which provided an opportunity for the forest sector from across Scotland to share their experiences of adapting to climate change, to consider best practice, and identify key knowledge gaps.
