What was the event?

An international conference that focused on the role of education in sport, tourism and the outdoors to improve quality of life and contribute to sustainable, just and ethical living, learning and working. The conference themes were:

  • Sustainable development in tourism and education
  • Social justice in sport development
  • Quality of life in physical education, health and wellbeing
  • Environmental education in outdoor learning
  • and Open stream.

Dr Liz O'Brien of Forest Research was a keynote speaker and talked on "The contribution of trees, woods and forest to well-being and quality of life"
