Soils and climate change

South East England Soils Discussion Group (SEESOIL) winter meeting 2008

2nd December 2008, 10.00a.m to 4.30p.m

What was the event?

The meeting took the broad theme of ‘soils and climate change’ and covered climate change impacts on soil functions, carbon and nutrient storage/fluxes and cycling as well as water storage, flooding and  erosion, within both agricultural and natural soil-water systems. This also included climate change mitigation, adaptation, management strategies.

Who was the event suitable for?

All SEESOIL members, but also for people interested in soil issues, likely impacts of climate changes on soil function and climate change mitigation, adaptation and management strategies.

Where did the event take place?

The meeting was hosted by the National Soil Resources Institute.
