Our laboratory offers a high quality water analysis service for the private sector and research organisations. We carry our regular water analysis for research projects and have acquired the latest state of the art dual view spectrophotometer giving extremely low limits of detection and greater accuracy at trace levels which is suitable to assess drinking water quality for cation contaminants.
We provide a comprehensive suite of chemical analyses to determine the chemical profile and quality of water samples. We can test the quality of effluents and surface waters or potable waters from taps, springs and wells.
We ranked 1st out of 40 European laboratories in the latest European water interlaboratory comparison (ICP Forests programme) after being 2nd in the previous scheme.
Unlike many commercial analytical laboratories and testing centres, we always run calibrated controls with certified reference material to maintain the quality of our data and assess any significant drift or change in sensitivity. You can be sure that data from our facility will be suitable for detailed research analysis and long-term environmental and forest health monitoring programmes.
We have supported forestry-related research projects with water analyse for more than 20 years. Through this active participation in research we have acquired significant expertise in testing a wide range of water samples, in developing sampling protocols and advising on site monitoring and hydrology studies.
Our clients include research organisations and university research groups from across Europe as well as environmental consultants, forestry contractors and private woodland owners.
