David Wainhouse joined Forest Research in 1974 after completing an MSc in Applied Entomology at Imperial College, London and a PhD at the University of Cambridge. He has worked on a number of projects with the common theme of the role of tree resistance in the ecology of forest pests and its contribution to Integrated Pest Management. David is currently working on the influence of climate change on the ecology and management of forest pests
Current role
Project Manager, Centre for Forestry and Climate Change
Research on the impact of climate change on insect life cycles, distribution and pest status.
Current programmes
Pests and pathogens in a changing environment
Project Manager
PhD Studentships through links with University of Coleraine and University of York.
