What was the event?
One of Scotland's biggest rural events, The Scottish Game Fair aimed to:
- Explain and educate about game and wildlife in Scotland and particularly the work of the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust Scotland
- Generate funds for further research, advice and education
- Provide an enjoyable family day out with over 300 trade stands and a huge variety of displays and demonstrations.
Forest Research involvement
The Rural Economy and Land Use Programme (RELU) funded project - Collaborative frameworks in land management: a case-study of wild deer in Britain - presented results from their 3 years of research at the Fair. Visit 'Hunting for Sustainability; Collaborative Research for Wildlife Management' on Duck Row, Stall D8.
