Evaluating the potential for anaerobic digestion to providing energy and soil amendment

What was the event?
The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange and gain information on all stages of the anaerobic digestion process and brought to light the potential for the use in rural and other communities; thereby focusing on the benefits of waste management, energy and soil amendment production.
A series of presentations in the morning was followed by smaller workshop group discussions in the afternoon.

The workshop was of interest to delegates from a wide ranging background, including academics interested in energy policy, waste management and soil sciences, rural and farming businesses, waste management companies, energy providers, environmental decision-makers and regulators, food supply representatives.
