News from Forest Research: April 2008

Forest Research has a team of three Research Liaison Officers (RLOs) who provide dedicated links between Forest Research and the Forestry Commission, and the many private and public forestry and land-use stakeholders throughout Great Britain.
The team includes Hugh Williams (England), Steve Penny (Scotland) and Chris Jones (Wales).
They work to find ways of making access to research information and expertise both easy and relevant to users, enhancing the knowledge of forest research output for practical use, and assisting in the delivery of national policies. Equally importantly, they listen to outside requests for information and seek the forest industries’ and users’ views on research needs.
Note: since this article was written, Hugh Williams is no longer an RLO.
