Lorraine Adams joined Forest Research in 2000, where she has since specialised in chemical analysis of environmental samples. She gained BSc (Hons) Biochemistry with Industrial Experience at Manchester University in 1998.

Current role

Environmental Analyst, Centre for Forestry and Climate Change

  • Analysing forest and natural samples (water, foliage and soil) for a number of research areas including the Environmental Change Network, water quality in the soil, climate change and stream quality.
  • Managing the LIMS database maintaining customer and sample details and results.

Affiliations and achievements

  • Speciality training in Potentiometric methods of analysis, Ion chromatography, HPLC and Continuous Flow Analysis.
