The Forestry Commission’s Research Information Service is located at the Forest Research Station, Alice Holt Lodge. This service:
- Provides a comprehensive scientific and technical information service for those interested in trees and forestry in Great Britain.
- Provides a photocopy and loan service to individuals and organisations working with or for the Forestry Commission.
- Lends books to other libraries through the British Library Inter-Library Loan Scheme.
- Has a reciprocal arrangement with other Government departments or agencies for photocopies or loans.
We have the major collection of forestry and arboriculture publications for temperate regions. This collection can be consulted by appointment to study, read and photocopy.
