Forest worker felling Oak. New Forest FDSustainable Forestry: 1 -2 hours walk and talk. Get your students out of the classroom and bring them to Cannock Forest. An informative power point presentation on the management of a sustainable working forest will be followed by a walk, highlighting how multi-purpose forestry works.

7stanes at Mabie ForestTourism and Leisure: 1 -2 hour walk and talk. Let your students see it for themselves. A power point presentation on tourism and leisure on Cannock Chase will be followed by a ranger led walk to highlight how the forest has been utilised for the leisure and tourism industry.

Have a go at fire lighting, learn how trees and plants can be used to survive in the forest and the value of wood as a burning material.

Self Led Shelter Building: To make it a full day trip you and your group can build your own natural shelters in the forest.
