Join us at our bushcraft camp in the heart of Sherwood Pines to complete the residential section of your Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
This five day, four night residential programme has been designed to equip you with a wide variety of bushcraft skills – from mastering fire lighting techniques, shelter building and tool use, through to traditional woodland crafts such as basketry woodworking and whittling.
You will build your own shelter to sleep in, enjoy night-time challenges and nature walks, and cook your food over the campfire.
By the time your adventure has ended you will have made some charcloth, a leather tinder pouch, a firesteel with an antler handle, a tent peg, a wooden mallet, peg board and spatula, a willow basket, some cordage, some artist’s charcoal and a willow tray.
You will also have had an amazing experience, gained new skills and made some lasting memories and friends.
