Corporate team away days

What better way to escape the office than gaining new skills and enjoying team building challenges at our bushcraft camp in the heart of Sherwood Pines?

Bushcraft - yurt

We specialise in running bespoke away days for small corporate groups.

What we offer:

  • Meeting room facilities in our woodland classroom
  • A selection of ranger-led bushcraft and outdoor activities tailored to suit the needs of your group
  • A campfire cooked lunch
  • The chance to escape the office, gain new skills and explore the forest

You can mix and match any of our activities so we’ll discuss your requirements with you to create the perfect package. If you’d like to spend all day having fun in the woods, no problem! If you’d like to use the classroom as a more formal setting for a meeting then we’ll arrange that too.

Have a look through our range of activities and choose the ones that best suit your group and objectives, or give us a call and we’ll go through the options with you.

Survival Skills

These activities equip the group with some of the basic skills needed to survive in the wild (as well as teach you how to light a storm kettle so you can enjoy a cup of tea!) Using a bow drill to make fire at a bushcraft skills event.

Team Building Challenges

These activities are energetic and great for building camaraderie. The assault course challenge is designed to encourage groups to work together as a team and can create a different group dynamic.  Assault course

Practical Conservation

This is your chance to put something back. Get your team stuck into some practical conservation tasks helping the environment and communities across Nottinghamshire.  Volunteer using a bow saw to carry out practical woodland conservation along a woodland trail.

Brash burning

Tree felling and coppicing

Fence removal

Scrub bashing and more…

One day not enough?

We offer overnight stays for groups who want a further challenge. An overnight stay relies on group co-operation and team work. You’ll build your own shelter to sleep in, enjoy night-time challenges and nature walks, and cook your breakfast over the campfire.

Alternatively, if you would like to spread your visit over several days but would prefer not to stay with us overnight, you could always stay in local accommodation and return to us the next day.

Whatever activities you choose, we’re sure that you’ll have a great experience in the forest.

But don’t just take our word for it! Here is some of the feedback from our clients.

"We booked Sherwood Bushcraft because we were looking for somewhere outside of the office to hold a team away day incorporating a business planning meeting as well as team building activities. The morning involved learning traditional fire lighting techniques and making our own decorative trays out of willow. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all the team and we really enjoyed getting hands on! In the afternoon we used the woodland classroom as a more formal setting to hold a meeting. The meeting room facilities, refreshments and campfire-cooked lunch provided during the day were brilliant." Derwent Living Housing
