We are very hopeful that we’ll soon be seeing the Ospreys taking up residence again on the nest at Bassenthwaite.  The birds usually return towards the end of March or early April.  We’re now recruiting volunteers to help out at the outdoor viewing areas at Dodd Wood or in the Visitor Centre at Whinlatter to welcome visitors, provide information and assist visitors with viewing of the birds and their nest.
When?  Throughout the osprey nesting season, from 1st April to 2nd September
Where?  Dodd Wood and Whinlatter Visitor Centre.
