Forest Live is the Forestry Commission’s concert series which takes place in seven fabulous forest venues including Bedgebury throughout England.

Income generated from ticket sales is spent on protecting, improving and expanding England’s forests and woodlands and increasing their value to people and wildlife. Over Forest Live’s 15 years history, money raised has contributed to a wide range of projects, from wildlife conservation to making improvements for visitors. With everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities, the gigs are renowned for their relaxed atmosphere.

Friday 16 June - Rick Astley

Rick Astley has announced he will be taking part in Forest Live 2017.

He remains one of the most successful solo artists ever to have emerged from Britain. His three decades in the spotlight have seen the music legend enter the record books for his early ground-breaking chart success, garner rapturous critical acclaim and sell-out arenas on almost every continent, as he continues to leave an indelible mark on pop-culture.

Rick Astley Forest Live concerts 20172016 has been a whirlwind for year for Rick; from a run of shows in April that all sold out immediately to a BBC Radio 2 A-list single ‘Keep Singing’ which raked in nearly 1.8m views on VEVO.  Plus his 2017 UK spring tour is already sold out!  Rick and his band have a fantastic live show which will have everyone (including the trees!) up and dancing to the classic hits as well as acclaimed new material from the number one album ‘50’.

Plus special guest Rumer

Award winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter Rumer, blessed with effortless velvety smooth vocals will be special guest on Rick Astley’s Forest Live dates. Her beautiful soulful voice will take your breath away. Rumer, who has been called 'heir to Dusty Springfield and Karen Carpenter' by Q Magazine, has earned rave reviews for her live shows across the globe. She has performed at many festivals including Glastonbury and even a special show at the White House for Barack Obama!

Forest Live tickets are not required for children aged 5 and under, who can attend free of charge. Children aged 6 or above require a full price ticket. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.

Saturday 17 June 2017 - Elbow

ELB_site_150x98_ARTElbow have announced they will be playing at Bedgebury as part of Forest Live 2017.

 

Elbow’s rise over the past two decades has seen them become one of the most important bands in contemporary British music. Since their debut album, 2001’s ‘Asleep At The Back’ their stature has grown with subsequent releases such as ‘Cast of Thousands’, ‘Leaders Of The Free World’, ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’, ‘Build A Rocket Boys’ and 2014’s ‘The Take Off And Landing Of Everything’ that debuted at the top of the U.K. charts.

Front man Guy Garvey’s story-telling lyrics have honed their unique identity and sound to establish the band a passionate fan base and critical acclaim on their musical journey including two Ivor Novellos and a BRIT award for Best British Band.

Elbow’s seventh studio album ‘Little Fictions’ will be released on 3rd February.
