Kielder Water and Forest Park Walking Trails

View of Kielder Water, Kielder Water and Forest Park

Wax up those boots! Head over to Kielder for some amazing walks in this breathtakingly beautiful slice of Northumberland with big skies and long horizons.

A number of the trails listed below start from Kielder Castle, but there are also trailheads at Blakehopeburnhaugh (Redesdale), Lewisburn, Sidwood and Warksburn.

A wider network of tracks and public rights of way criss-cross the forest. It is advised to take the OS Leisure map number 42 when exploring these tracks and let someone know where you are going and when you are expected back. Please come properly equipped to cope with the worst the Northumberland weather can throw at you.
