Volunteering Cannock Chase - Trailbuilding

Volunteers working on a new mountain bike trail

Chase Trails are volunteer group who help build and maintain mountain bike trail in Cannock Chase Forest. They have been working in partnership with the Forestry Commission for over 10 years, looking after Follow the Dog and the Monkey Trail.

Why not come along and put something back into the trails. The group meets most Sundays at 10am, meeting outside Swinnerton Cycles at Birches Valley Forest Centre. They also meet monthly to work on the downhill trails at Stile Cop. All volunteers get a free day parking pass so you can come and help out in the morning, and ride in the afternoon for free! Make sure you bring warm clothing, sturdy footwear and lunch or trail snacks.

Trail building isn't just for mountain bikers and is great for anyone who like working outdoors and wants to develop new skills. Several regular volunteers have never ridden a bike!
