Horse Riding Access Maps

Welcome to the Horse Riding Access Maps page. The Map Viewer shows you where you can ride your horse in Welsh Assembly Government woodlands managed by Forestry Commission Wales. Please see instructions on how to use the Map Viewer below.

Instructions:

To see our horse riding maps click on ‘Access the FCW Map Viewer’ above and take the following steps;
1. Zoom in to the area you are interested in.

2. Click on the 'Forestry Commission' folder under the heading 'Welsh
Government', (see image below).

3. Tick the ‘Horse Riding Access’ box (if the box is not tickable, i.e. grey) zoom in a bit more until the box becomes white. (See image above).

4. Click on the ‘Legends’ red tab which will show how horse riding access has been marked on the map.

5. You can zoom in or out, and if you want to see an aerial photo click the red ‘Layers’ tab to bring up the list of folders again. Then click on one of the ‘aerial photography’ options under the ‘Background Mapping’ folder. Again you can zoom in or out.
