Explore the case for trees

Trees contribute to developments and urban environments in many ways.

The Case for Trees demonstrates the benefits and evidence for the positive role that trees play as part of green infrastructure.  This includes increasing resilience to climate change. improving air quality, transforming appearances, adding benefits to the local economy and creating healthy places with stronger communities.

NB - The case for trees was published in 2010, therefore the section on The Planning System contains outdated references to planning policy.  However the benefits and evidence remain current and valid.
