Playing through the season

Summer - find some woodland summer secrets and create a summer trail for others to follow, listen to the song of the woods, write a secret message with a natural invisible ink and meet a tree giant.

Woodland sundial - using woodland objects, a decorated stick and plenty of sunshine, make your own sundial.  And use your pine cones to give a weather forecast.

Back at home

Mouse mask - when you're next in a wood - see if you can find any holes about the size of a fifty pence piece - these might be home to a wood mouse. Why not have a go at making your own mouse mask using our template - where would you live in a wood?

Summer safari - why not go on a summer mini-beast safari, searching for wiggling worms, speedy centipedes and darting beetles
