The Forestry Commission is a partner in the Right Trees for a Changing Climate website that helps you decide what trees are suitable to plant in the face of a changing climate. It's intended for use by planners, landscape designers, developers, ecologists and other professionals, but should always be used in conjunction with sound advice from a qualified arboriculturist. The site requires a simple registration.

The Biomass Environmental Assessment Tool (BEAT2), provided by Defra, the Biomass Energy Centre and the Environment Agency is an aid to assessing the likely environmental impact of a biomass energy project.
