Guidance for bidders
From Monday 18th April 2016, new legislation governing the way public procurement is organised in Scotland comes into force, and the way Forestry Commission Scotland advertises its tender opportunities will change.
The legislation requires public authorities to advertise all tender opportunities for goods and services with a value of over £50k, or works with a value of over £2m, on the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) portal.
From 18 April, all Forestry Commission Scotland tenders will only be advertised through Procurement Contracts Scotland (PCS). Bidders wishing to view and respond to opportunities advertised on PCS must now register on the portal to receive details of our opportunities. Once registered on PCS, you will get automatic notification of all tenders that are pertinent to the business areas you have expressed an interest in. You will also get details of any opportunities listed by other Scottish public bodies.
If you have any questions about PCS, please refer to the guidance within the portal, whe you will find full details of how to register and use it.
