Buggyfit

Mothers and babies taking part in Buggyfit at Kiveton Community Woodland

Buggyfit is the ultimate fitness class for mums wanting to get back into shape after their new arrival and the Forestry Commission run classes on a number of their sites in South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire. – specifically Bentley, Dinnington, Kiveton, Phoenix Park and at Sherwood Pines.

Classes are about an hour long and start with a moderate warm-up of mobility and stretching exercises to get the joints and muscles ready for exercise. This is followed by a power walk to raise the heart rate and start burning fat, and group exercises to strengthen and tone specific muscle groups, enabling mums to better cope with the demands of motherhood.

All Buggyfit classes have been developed by experts to suit the various stages gone through after having a baby. Buggyfit trainers assess how hard to work each mum and will always ensure safe techniques are used to gain maximum results. Participants will be required to complete a health questionnaire and a declaration that they are cleared by their GP to exercise. A Buggyfit class also gives mums the opportunity to meet and chat with other like-minded mums in the fresh air and free from the normal stresses of the day.

Buggyfit classes on Forestry Commission sites in South Yorkshire are FREE!
