The London Tree and Woodland Framework is part of the Environment Strategy of the Greater London Authority. It was launched on the 23rd of March 2005 and is the result of a broad partnership of London-wide bodies headed by the Forestry Commission and the GLA.
The overall goal of the Framework is to provide a strategic approach to trees and woodlands that delivers the Mayor's vision for London and the relevant Mayoral Strategies within the context of the England Trees, Woods and Forests Strategy published by defra in July 2007.
Trees and woodlands are good for Londoners, good for visitors to London, and good for business in London.
