The Forestry Commission's woodlands and forests in South East England offer everyone the chance to take healthy exercise in the fresh air, amongst beautiful trees and countryside. Come and de-stress while keeping fit. There's cycling and mountain biking, walking, running, horse riding, adventure play, Go Ape, special events, education trips, wildlife to discover. Adventure Play Lots of opportunities for children to let off steam in safety on miles of forest-themed play equipment for children of all ages. And for those who like their thrills higher up, Go Ape's award-winning hire wire forest adventure courses are now open at Bedgebury, Alice Holt and Wendover Woods. Cycling  Come and explore the many wonderful family cycling and mountain bike tracks around the forests of South East England. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, young or old; there are routes to suit your particular preference. Hire a bike or bring your own. Test out your skills on our free ride and dirt jump areas or have a gentle cycle amongst the trees.
Riding  Explore the miles of horse riding trails and bridleways around the forests of South East England, away from traffic and in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Horse riders with TROT permits will find new dedicated way-marked trails linking with existing bridlepaths, creating a network of horse-friendly routes around the forests. Walking and running Give your body and soul a boost with a walk or run through the trees in the fresh country air. Or try one of our orienteering trails - they accomodate all levels of experience and skill.
