Felling licences

 

Felling trees is an important part of the cycle of woodland management. However, to help protect trees and to ensure proper woodland mangement, normally a  felling licence will be required before you can cut down any trees.

It is an offence to fell trees without a licence if an exemption does not apply.  Details of when a felling licence is required and how to obtain one are available in the booklet Tree Felling - Getting Permission (PDF 1748kb).
