Lancashire Woodlands Project

 

The Lancashire Woodlands Project aims to:

• Encourage the sustainable management of Lancashire woodlands 
• Support the development of local timber use and manufacture of timber products 
• Deliver a woodland outreach programme to engage all sectors of the community 
• Promote co-operation between all sectors of the woodland industry in the county

It achieves this by:

• Giving free advice to woodland owners and wood using businesses
• Running training workshops and seminars 
• Holding community events 
• Producing newsletters and information bulletins

The project is funded by:

•  Forestry Commission
•  Lancashire County Developments Ltd.
