Woodfuel
A new survey of woodfuel suppliers was run for the first time in Spring 2009 to collect data on woodfuel supplied (including own use by suppliers). Initial results from the survey, augmented by estimates from other sources, are published in Woodfuel Statistics (2008 provisional figures). Final results are available in Forestry Statistics 2009.
A household survey to assess the level of domestic usage of woodfuel was carried out in GB in 1997. Since then, a similar survey was carried out in Scotland and questions on woodfuel usage have been included in the 2007 Public Opinion of Forestry
Nurseries
A Nursery Survey was set up in 2007 to assess sales of improved nursery stock. It is intended that the survey will be carried out annually over the next 10 years to monitor trends, for input to the Scottish Forestry Strategy indicators.
