Go Ape!
Go Ape! Whinlatter offers an exciting adventure course includeing rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides up to 40 feet up in the trees. Customers are fitted with a climbing harness, given instructions and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor.
Whinlatter Forest Park is England’s only true mountain forest. Rising to 790 metres above sea level it offers spectacular views of the Lake District and into Scotland.
- Under 18s must be supervised by a participating adult. One adult can supervise EITHER two children (where one or both of them is under 16 years old) OR up to five 16-17 year olds.
Go Ape! Whinlatter Opening Times 2009:
- Open Fri. 27th March - Sun. 1st November (closed Tues. during Term Time).
- Open weekends throughout November. December weekends tbc.
- Open 0900hrs-1700hrs daily for bookings every 30 minutes.
- Please note: Opening times vary dependant upon daylight hours. Please check our booking system for availability.
- During busier periods, sites open at 0830 with the last booking at 1800.
